Abstract: Acute Nontraumatic Temporomandibular Joint(TMJ) Dislocation is one common maxillofacial disease in the emergency room, which means condyle comes off the glenoid fossa and surpasses the normal limit of joint movement, thus resulting in the inability to recover automatically . It results in discomfort in everyday life and claims high attention. Delays in accurate treatment can lead to long-term sequelae for the patient. Many new treatment methods using reduction techniques have sprang recently. Different techniques will be reviewed for managing acute nontraumatic TMJ dislocation in this paper.
