Abstract: Objective　 To discuss and report the pathogenesis and therapeutic methods of a 17-year-old female patient with delayed tooth eruption. Methods　 Occlusal reconstruction with a maxillary removable denture and mandibular fixed prosthesis was performed and the patient was followed up to observe the therapeutic effect. Results　 At one and a half years’ follow-up, dentures were well used, the occlusal function returned to normal and the patient was satisfied with the restoration. Conclusions　 The maxillary activities and mandibular fixed prosthesis of the delayed tooth eruption are feasible, but the effect of the fixed restoration still needs further clinical treatment and observation.
