Hyperdivergent skeletal Class Ⅱ malocclusion has always been a challenge in orthodontics with manifestations of both sagittal and vertical discrepancies. Scholars have done many studies on its pathology, clinical manifestation, x-ray and therapies, while having varied mechanisms and results. This paper aims to study the specificity of hyperdivergent skeletal Class Ⅱ malocclusion and the matters worth attention in orthodontic treatment , which ensures the success and long-term stability of further orthodontic treatment.
