Abstract: Objective To explore the application of computer-assisted implant guide in inclined implant surgery. Methods From February 2011 to January 2014, after conventional CT scanning of maxillary and mandible, the software modeling was made with the assistance of computer, and 13 cases with inadequate bone mass in maxillary were selected to undergo an inclined implant surgery. Individualized implant models were made by rapid prototyping for 21 implants in total and were applied in the surgery. Results Inclined implant surgeries were operated by using computer-assisted implant guide. The accurate implantation was accomplished thanks to preoperative designs for the location of implants so that favorable occlusion was formed, which was consistent with the preoperative designing scheme. Conclusion Instead of sinus elevation, inclined implant surgery using computer-assistant implant guide is a relatively safe choice for the location and guiding of surgeries in the area where bone mass is inadequate.
