Research progress of PBL teaching in oral and maxillofacial surgery

Abstract: Problem-based learning (PBL) teaching is a problem-based, student-centered, teacher-guided small-group discussion learning mode. Currently, this model has been widely accepted and applied in the medical education field. Plenty of studies have shown that PBL learning can achieve a good result in oral and maxillofacial surgery teaching. We introduce the application of PBL in oral and maxillofacial surgery teaching as well as its problems and prospects by reviewing the relevant literature.
