Abstract: Tooth eruption is a complicated and tightly regulated process involved by a variety of factors including the histologic change of alveolar bone and tooth germ, the cytological change of dental follicle cells, osteoblast and osteoclast etc., and various cytokines. Recently, animal model researches have been used to illustrate the dynamic process of tooth eruption, and this paper will give an overview of animal model research on tooth eruption.
