Abstract: Dentin hypersensitivity is a common clinical problem in dental practice, which is characterized by brief, sharp pain in response to stimuli. It has a high morbidity rate and a low cure rate demonstrated by epidemiological studies. The laser in the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity has attracted lots of attention in recent years. The research progress of clinical effects of laser in treating dentin hypersensitivity and its underlying therapeutic mechanisms are summarized in this review.
