Abstract: This article reports a case of periodontitis with drug-induced gingival hyperplasia after the use of cyclosporine. The gingiva returned to normal after a series of periodontal initial therapy along with gingivectomy and regular periodontal maintenance therapy. Drug-induced gingival hyperplasia has a close relationship with bacterial plaque. It needs to be emphasized that complete elimination of plaque and control of inflammation followed by thorough correct oral hygiene measures has a definitive significant effect on the gingiva.
