Abstract: Currently, the orthodontic arch wire is mainly made of metal materials. This kind of arch wire not only has poor aesthetics but also gradually releases metal elements which are easy to cause allergic reactions of patients. Although some metal orthodontic wires are coated with enamel-like coatings in clinical practice, the chemical coatings on the surface of the wires will wear and peel off and age over time, which can not meet the aesthetic requirements of patients . In recent years, glass fiber reinforced composites and polyphenylene polymers have been used as a new generation of metal-free transparent arch wires.
