Abstract: As dentition defect is a common oral problem in patients, tooth autotransplantation can transplant donor teeth to the missing tooth area. In addition to restoring the masticatory function, it can also promote the growth of alveolar bone in children. This article reviews the indications and nonindications, success rate and comparison with dental implants, and clinical treatment procedures of tooth autotransplantation.
