BMP1和mTLL1在牙齿发育中的研究进展

Research progress of bone morphogenetic protein 1 and mammalian tolloid-like 1 in tooth development

摘要: 骨形态发生蛋白1(bone morphogenetic protein 1,BMP1)和哺乳动物tolloid 样 1(mammalian tolloidlike 1,mTLL1)是细胞外基质金属蛋白酶,同属于虾红素家族(astacin family),在包括牙在内的多种组织中共表达。BMP1和mTLL1具有功能冗余性,在切割和激活细胞外基质(extracellular matrix,ECM)蛋白方面起重要作用,通过水解修剪各种ECM蛋白的前体调节ECM的沉积。以往研究表明,BMP1和mTLL1促进成牙本质细胞和成骨细胞分化,维持ECM中胶原和非胶原蛋白的平衡,在牙齿发育中发挥重要作用。现就BMP1和mTLL1在牙齿发育中的研究现状作一综述。

Abstract: Bone morphogenetic protein 1 (BMP1) and mammalian tolloidlike 1(mTLL1), members of astacin family, are extracellular matrix metalloproteinases that are coexpressed in various tissues including teeth. BMP1 and mTLL1 are functionally redundant, playing an important role in cutting and activating extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins. They regulate ECM deposition by hydrolyzing and pruning precursors of various ECM proteins. Previous studies have shown that BMP1 and mTLL1 play an important role in tooth development through promoting the differentiation of odontoblasts and osteoblast, as well as maintaining the balance of collagen and noncollagen proteins in ECM. The research progress of BMP1 and mTLL1 in tooth development is reviewed in this paper.
