Abstract: Cone-beam computed tomography is more widely used in the study of temporomandibular joint morphology. The shape and position of the temporomandibular joint are affected by malocclusion. One of the requirements for orthodontic treatment is to maintain or improve the temporomandibular joint condyle-articular relationship. This paper summarizes the research of cone-beam computed tomography applied to temporomandibular joints in healthy people and patients with malocclusion , relationship between orthodontic treatment and temporomandibular joint disorders.
