Clinical research on two processes of full denture remediation effectiveness

Abstract: Abstract: Objective Compare remediation effectiveness of traditional full denture with that of magnetic attachment full denture. Method From May, 2008 to October, 2010, 17 patients seeking for full denture remediation in Taizhou Hospital of Chinese medicine were chosen to wear traditional full denture for three months and then to wear magnetic attachment full denture for three months. Investigate the patients’ satisfaction by questionnaire survey and detect the masticatory efficiency with weighing method 3 months after treatment. Result The patients were more satisfied and have higher masticatory efficiency with magnetic attachment full denture compared with traditional full denture. Conclusion Magnetic attachment full denture is obviously better than traditional full denture in terms of fixity, comfortableness and masticatory efficiency.
