Abstract: Objective To explore the major points and evaluate the clinical effect of applying orthodontic microimplant anchorage in treating maxillary protrusion. Methods A total of 10 patients (8 females,2 males) were selected to be treated with the orthodontic miniimplants.Micro implant titanium screws were used in the maxillary molar buccal position as anchorages to retract the anterior teeth. Results All the patients got satisfying treatment effects and their facial profiles were improved. Conclusions Miniimplant can provide strong anchorage for the orthodontic treatment,thus the application of orthodontic miniimplants is an effective way to treat maxillary protrusion.
