Abstract: Objective: To explore the clinic effects of stabilization of lossen teeth with fiber periodontal splint to severe periodontitis. Methods: From May 2011 to September 2012, 48 patients who were diagnosed of severe periodontitis were involved in our study. They were randomly divided into two groups. Therapy group were given periodontal treatment and stabilization of lossen teeth with fiber periodontal splint, and control group were given periodontal treatment only. PLI、SBI、PD、AL were recorded in baseline, three months, half a year, and one year after the treatment. Results: All the indexes were different in two groups in baseline. Three months after the treatment, all the indexes were not different in two groups. Half a year after the treatment, PLI were not different in two groups, but SBI、 PD and AL were different in two groups. One year after the treatment, PLI were not different in two groups, but SBI、 PD and AL were different in two groups. Conclusion: Stabilization of lossen teeth is an effective recommendation for patients with severe periodontitis, and oral health introduction is very important.
