Abstract: Pain-pressure threshold (PPT) has been used as a quantitative sensory test in orofacial pain study.It plays a significant role in revealing the mechanism of pain,the procedure of disease and the different outcomes of different treatments.This article reviewed the research progress and limitations of orofacial pain study using PPT.
