Abstract: [Abstract]: Objective: To explore the clinical effect of montmorillonite and allicin in the treatment of thrush. Methods: 162 newborns and infants with thrush who were confirmed in our department clinic from April 2013 to March 2015 were selected and randomly divided into experiment group and control group. All patients were cleaned with normal saline locally. The mixed paste of montmorillonite and allicin were applied to the intraoral white spot lesion area and the peripheral mucosal tissue in the experiment group, while 2% sodium bicarbonate was used in the control group. The two groups were observed for their clinical effects. Results: Both the cure rate and the total effective rate in the experiment group were higher than those in the control group (p<0.01). Conclusion: The combined use of montmorillonite and allicin has an obvious effect on patients with thrush and no significant adverse reactions have been detected.
