Abstract: Drug-induced pemphigus is a special type of pemphigus. In those cases, the disease is generally mild and will accelerate or relapse after taking the culprit drug again. The drugs have been proved to play a definite role in the pathogenesis of those patients. According currently reports, the number of DIP cases and the types of drugs are increasing, including thiol drugs and nonthiol drugs. In most of studies, researchers consider that its pathogenesis relates to genetic and the culprit drug, and the culprit drug includes both biochemical and immunologic. The clinical manifestations are not specific, relating to the type of drug, and mainly show foliaceus variety and vulgaris variety. New auxiliary diagnostic method (in vitro interferon-gamma release test) has been used to determine the culprit drug and provides an important reference. 32-2B mucosal immunostaining provides important information for the diagnosis and prognosis of drug-induced pemphigus.
