Research progress ofthe clinical diagnosis and treatment of pemphigus

Abstract

Abstract: Pemphigus is an autoimmune bullous disease affecting the skin and mucosa.The basic pathological change is acantholysis. Desmoglein (Dsg) antibodies in the serum of patients is the immunological indicator for the diagnosis of pemphigus and correlates with illness changes. Glucocorticoid is the first choice for treatment.However, how to develop the best therapy relies on a stable and reasonable scoring system with an accurate assessment of disease severity.In this article, we will report the advances in the diagnosis, scoring system and treatment of pemphigus in recent years.
