Clinical application progress of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing of milled framework in implant fixed restorations for edentulous patients

Abstract: Early implant-supported fixed restoration was mainly composed of casted noble or base metal bar, and the techniques were affected by numerous factors. With the development of digital technology and materials, it is more convenient and efficient for milling framework, and CAD/CAM milled framework has been widely used for complicated edentulous implant reconstruction. The aim of the review was to summarize the advantages and features of CAD/CAM milled scaffold.
