Abstract: Lowlevel laser therapy (LLLT) is the direct application of photobiomodulation to accelerate wound healing, reduce inflammation, and induce analgesia. A large number of studies have confirmed that it has achieved satisfactory results in the treatment of muscle damage, degenerative diseases and motor dysfunction. So far, its application in maxillofacial tissue is limited. This article briefly reviews the application and treatment prospects of lowlevel laser in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
