Abstract

Abstract: Periodontal disease has a wide range of effects and is the primary cause of tooth loss among adults in our country. Therefore, effective periodontal disease prevention and treatment is very important. The current common prevention and treatment methods for periodontal disease have certain shortcomings. As a new treatment method, sonodynamic therapy (SDT) can solve these problems to a certain extent. This article briefly describes the current status of periodontal disease prevention and treatment, and focuses on the concept, origin, effect of SDT, and research progress in the treatment of periodontal disease.
