Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression and the clinical relevance of Livin in human oral squamous cell carcinoma. Methods Retrospective study was used to test the expression of Livin in 46 cases of oral squamous cell carcinomas and then the correlation among the expression level, the clinical pathological parameters and the patient prognosis was analyzed and evaluated. Results In 46 cases, Livin expression of 29 cases were detected positive (63.0%). The expression of Livin was closely related with the metastasis(P=0.012)and the grade(P=0.005), but was not obviously related with their prognoses(P=0.112). Conclusion Livin expression may be closely related with the tumorigenesis and development of human oral squamous cell carcinoma.
