Abstract: Clinically, it is common for children to have large-area defects of young permanent molars, which affect the masticatory function and jaw development of children. However, due to characteristics of mixed dentition, the repair method is different from that of adults. With commonly used clinical methods for the treatment of large-area defects of young permanent molars listed, this article reviews current methods for repairing dental defects of young permanent molars in children, and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each method, hoping to provide reference for the choice of clinical restoration methods.
