Abstract: Quantitative light-induced fluorescence is a new detection method which has been widely used in dental clinic in recent years. It can be used to diagnose caries by quantitative analysis of fluorescence loss in lesions. This technique has been used to diagnose smooth caries, pit and fissure caries, proximal caries and so on. The application of quantitative light-induced fluorescence technique in early diagnosis of various caries is reviewed in this paper.
